Daniela sent me (and everyone else on her list) an e-mail begging us to support NPR. My reply that I never sent:
I don’t care about NPR. The whole world will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, paved over, lined with strip malls, then the process will be filmed and played back as situation comedy. There is no recourse, all we can do is sit back and watch the ride. People like believing that there really is “fair and balanced” news, just like they like believing in god. Why think when you can have multinational corporations do it for you?
I never found any computers for public use that had Flash on them. Perhaps I’ll go and ask the library ladies. The Drift meeting dragged on and on…but I did talk to Molly for a bit.
Today sucks….well kinda. I’m starting work on a new version of my website, I got inspired last night and created a new splash page, but due to my stupid Internet connection at home I wasn’t able to upload it. I need to buy some CD-RWs that aren’t scratched, burn the files onto them, and upload them here at school. That is so unnecessarily complicated. I need to find a computer on this campus that has Flash, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop/Fireworks on it. Then I would be in heaven. And I could easily crank out a new version of my site. Accursed slow Internet and Flash-lacking computers. The world is against me. I have Religions of the World in thirty minutes. Restocked my Neopets shop, I have around 70,000NP when my store is sold out. I put it all back in as stock though. I dunno, it killed a good forty minutes. I think I’m going to go make tea.
