computer crap

I was circling things in this catalog then realized it was just too much damn crap to remember all at once. So here it is. Everything I need to buy with my paycheck:

RAM. Type: need to check motherboard manual. Capacity: 512MB. Cost: Around $100

HARD DRIVE. Type: Serial ATA. Capacity: 120GB, 150MB/sec, 8MB buffer. Cost: $109.99.

LED FANS: Type: 80mm. Cost: around $20.

CD-RW DRIVE: Type: above 30x write speed. Cost: around $50.

Optional—-

DVD-Rs (can get at Wal-Mart, price around $20?)

Crap. I don’t think I have enough money for all of this. I know I have enough for the hard drive and RAM, but the extra fans and CD-RW drive are iffy. I don’t know. We’ll see. Gosh, I just realized my computer has no modem and no video card. Maybe it will take longer than I thought to get it up and running. Well, I’m going to have to strip my old computer to get this one running, at least for now. I was thinking of selling the old comp to Tawna at a grand discount. Either $50 or $100, of course with lifetime service and repair. I was going to give it to her, but I’ve been thinking about it..and it is a viable, working PC…it’s worth some bucks. I want to get a Bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse, but I want a light-up one too, and you can’t have both, wireless-ness and light-up-ness. I guess I choose light-up-ness because I hope to be mostly be using voice recognition anyway. And light-up is just so damn cool. I’m watching this weird movie on IFC called Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! about this guy who is so in love with this chick that he ties her to her bed and takes care of her. It’s kind of like Boxing Helena, but without the creepy impotent British loser character. It’s in Spanish and has Antonio Bandeteras (to my delight).

Okay, I’m looking at my mobo manual.

“This motherboard provides four 184pin DDR DIMM slots, which supports PC2100/2700/3200 DDR SDRAM modules up to 4GB.” This is so cool. I’m putting the mobo manual in my car now. I can’t wait to buy everything tomorrow.
