boring boring boring 0

I’m done with all my work, but Mike wants me to stick around because there are some problems with Molly’s story (e-mail problems). She’s online or on the phone, I keep calling but I keep getting a busy signal. Lol, maybe she’s reading my blog. That would be funny. I kind of glad I have an excuse to reread “The Necklace.” It’s such a glorious story. I want to leave! Molly, get off the Internet! God I’m impatient, it’s been well over two minutes. I should just chill out and waste time. I went to the bathroom earlier, and I look really cute today! The suit totally works. I wish I had cooler pants though. I need to get pants when we all go to Eureka. Lol, Molly loved Tawna’s new hair and clothes. She was all “She looks amazing!” Lol. I wonder if Tawna has English 1A today. She said her first class got out around noon. I should call again. Busy. God I’m bored. I should go save those pictures as TIFFs, that would give me an excuse to do something.

This is post nine hundred and ninety-six. In a few more posts I’ll be at 1,000! I don’t know why that seems important to me. Hmm. Everybody is gone in the news room, and I realize that I’m finishing my tasks way too quickly. I can’t leave while Mike is at lunch, even if I did get here an hour early. I need to hang out at the college after 1B is over for a while (perhaps do homework or something) in the future. However, there were SO MANY PEOPLE at the college I just had to get out of that madhouse. I hope it slows down, there were hordes of people crowding the halls, people who I thought I wouldn’t have to deal with their stupidity ever again. Molly got into the difference between short stories and novels, it was cool. I can’t wait until we plunge into the nitty gritty. It will entertain me. Today I’m going to start working on Molly’s website. After Theatre, I’m going to ask her if she has all the syllabi (I’m pretty sure that’s spelled right) and such so I can enter them all into the site. A few pages (a welcome page with her resume, teaching philosophy, picture, and some other blurbs with links to courses, syllabi, etc. shouldn’t take more than a day or so to make. But that’s a day uninterrupted. I should be able to tackle it tomorrow, I’m extrordinarily tired today. I know, I could bring my computer to the office and work on it at school while I wait for my night classes to start after work. That would be dope. I have Word for you, Amanda, and the Macromedia suite of programs for website creation. All can be yours for the low low price of $2. Okay, I guess Mike didn’t go to lunch. I really just wish this day would be over. I should start on the community calendar, if I go really slow I will be done around one or so. Maybe I’ll go ask Mike about that map, he was vague on where the skatepark was going to be built. Petersen Park? It doesn’t sound familiar.

first day of school 0

I haven’t been blogging much because my new computer (even though it is uber-spiff) can’t seem to grasp the concept of the Internet working all the time. I will stop having problems once I get a legal copy of XP and high-speed Internet. The first class meeting of English 1B was okay, there were a lot less people than I anticipated, only around 15. I didn’t really see anyone there that it seemed I could become good friends with. Tawna, Sammie, and Steve were at the college. I saw Tawna before class and saw Steve and Sammie after class. Apparently Sue is being a biznatch and isn’t getting their car fixed. What a hoe! And a rake. And various other farming implements. 1B was uber-fun, but I was SO diappointed. She was all “the first story we’re going to read is Guy De Maupassant’s ‘The Necklace,’” which is an uber-cool story, but I’ve already read it. And then she’s all “we’re going to study One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (yet another book I’ve already read). I guess I should just be flattered and go “Gosh you’re smart,” but I’m afraid I’m in for another class to breeze through. I guess that’s a good thing, I’m not sure. The class hasn’t really started yet. I now know that I have the wrong edition of the textbook, I have to get the “summer edition” instead of the “winter edition.” They must be raking in megabucks, making two editions a year. Bull honky.

I AM INCREDIBLY TIRED. I only got like five hours of sleep. All the anticipation and everything, I was up very late. But my new Earl Grey that I bought specifically for the first day of school is keeping the edge off. Instead of being UBER tired I’m just very tired. Which is still very very tired. I must continue with my workday and get the hell out of here. He wants me to do another map, but it doesn’t have to be done until tomorrow, so if I just get the general area down it should be a piece of cake. However, I don’t have a map of the city parks. I could just go down to it and trace it out on a real map. I think that’s what I’m going to do. I’m just so tired and exhausted. It’s strange, today is an all-Molly class day. I have English 1B with her in the morning and Introduction to Theatre with her in the evening. This will become interesting. Mike is on the phone with Molly right now. I wish that this appeared on my blog instantly as I was typing this, that would be dope. I should get to work now, and go back to the college for a nap.

Mike just completely changed his wedding announcement policy. What the fuck ever. Details later.

I’m busily working, and since I don’t think I have any “extra-curricular” activities to do here today (or so I think) I hope to be out of here by two at the latest. I wrote Molly an e-mail, she said Mike just gushed about me last time he talked to her. The message was dated around when I first started the maps, so I’m happy that I have job security. I never thought I would have a job, a good job. I’m happy that he’s happy. Well anyway, I haven’t seen Amanda in days and we really need to finish those flyers. I guess I could do it, but still.

Oh, I had an idea this morning/last night. Since Steve wants to go to this martial arts thing and won’t have his grant and Samantha won’t have her money by the time we’re going, why don’t we just go the first weekend in September? I’ll have a buttload of money since I get paid on the 31st, and we’ll all have our grants and stuff. I think it would be much more prudent, and it just seems to work better. I mean, it’s just one more week. And it’ll be much more fun if we all have money.

I felt so sick this morning, and I still feel sick, but the dose of DayQuil I took really helped to break up my congestion and stuff. I think maybe it was from running that half mile last night. Running really aggrivates my allergies. Or maybe I really do have a cold. That’s the sucky thing with allergies, you never know whether you’re sick or not. Well all I know is that now I can breathe out of one nostril instead of neither so I’m happy.

OMG, I was watching a *video* last night and I was amazed at the refresh rates! The video wasn’t choppy, the sound wasn’t off, it was a perfect viewing experience. Except that my video card doesn’t support DirectDraw, so it took me a while of my display card shutting down and me having to restart before I realized that it was a DirectX error. I disabled DirectDraw, and I had an ultimate viewing experience. It was so chair. That’s my new word. I stole it from Doom Gen. Doom Gen is an encyclopedia of cleverness.

“If bullshit were music, you’d be a big brass band.”
“Who pissed in your fruit loops?”
“Eat my fuck.”

Glory. Okay, must get back to letters. Oh, I totally forgot that I was supposed to proofread one of my mom’s papers last night. It really sucked. I felt really guilty. My computer at home is downloading InDesign, it takes forever but if I’m on the Net 24/7 it only takes a few days. I need to load our summer issue and convert it into InDesign documents. I’m thinking we could hold a dessert social or something of the like this Friday, when school is in full swing and the college is full of people. I’m going to call Molly after I get off work and ask her if it’s okay to put up flyers for a social next Friday. Because the flyers are essentally done. I have to go check the gas prices around town, so I’ll be back soon. It’s a thing for the paper.

Crappy day at work and other randomness 0

Today was kind of cool at work, I got to hang on the photo room. It was like my Batcave. Jocelyn and I really bonded today. Well, first there was the Subway, she was nice enough to call me on her cell phone and ask what kind of bread I wanted. It was so cool. And then she didn’t really feel like writing, so she just hung out in the photo room with me while I did that graphic thing that Mike wanted. I spent like two hours making this really cool thing and he thought it was stupid. Whatever. We looked through the photo archives, stupidly burned onto these colored blank CDs, looking for pictures of the Klamath fish kill. Well, we didn’t find any. Eric sucks. It is stupid archiving job was sad. There were barely any pictures on those disks. Pathetic. Anyway, ended up staying there until around five. I called College of the Redwoods, and they said their office was open until six. That was lucky, because I got off around five and was able to drop Radio and Television Production and add Introduction to Theater. I’m bored. Oh, they totally canceled Journalism 3. I went to take it and they said it was canceled. It was an entire week until the actual first class meeting. Couldn’t they have waited?

My computer just totally crashed. I think I have the sasser worm. I must update my virus definitions. My computer keeps crashing Norton AntiVirus. Strange. Actually, I’m going with gay. I totally have a virus. Dammit. Or maybe this copy of Norton is just crazy. Dammit. Internet Explorer isn’t loading Blogger now. What the vagina face. I’m glad I saved my other post as a draft. There something wrong with this computer, be it the old modem or the lack of virus protection. Well, anyway… Tonya and I went to the beach, and then we went over to Samantha and Steve’s house. Sue wanted to go to the high school and play baseball, so we all went down there. Tonya and I walked around the track, and then I saw how far I could run on the track. I ran half a mile. We hung out in the middle of the field for awhile, talking about people, and then we decided to do to Denny’s. Samantha and Tonya got applications. We then went to Safeway, and grazed on doughnuts and candy. It was yummy. I saw TJ there, for the first time in awhile. He looked good. Good indeed. And he had two women with him. One looked kind of old though. I wonder if he lost his virginity yet. He used to call up my friend Michelle and subtly beg her to have sex with him. Weird. It was around 11:30 p.m. when we made our way home. Oh, I don’t know if I blogged it yet, but Tonya told me the funniest thing. Apparently Joe doesn’t like me because I’m gay. And supposedly because I use big words. Hilarious. Damn, it’s almost one in the morning. I should be getting to sleep. I’m typing this into notepad document, so I should probably write down the time so I can post it correctly tomorrow. The time is 12:49 in the morning. It’s August 20. I’m going to sleep. Okay maybe not. Blogger is incredibly gay. Nope it’s not working. Gay. I’m going to sleep. I need high-speed Internet access. It’s now the next morning and I’m posting this.

A post from yesterday 0

I wrote this post yesterday, I believe. I didn’t remember to date it. Maybe it’s from day before yesterday. Oh well. Here is:

This is my first time dictating a blog post. It is slightly difficult to do this. However I can talk as fast as I want, and it dictates. It also automatically inserts punctuation. This is so tedious. Almost as tedious as typing, except for without all the typing. I really love my new computer. This is so amazingly cool. I talk and it types. I don’t really have much to say. I burned a CD when I was in the drift office. It had my most recent web site, and some other random stuff. I can’t log on to Blogger on my new computer, I don’t know why. I really need to get a desk, it is uncomfortable to work the way I have it set up. The monitor is basically on a stool near my bed. I really need to get a voice-recognition headset. I could really get used to this voice-recognition stuff. I’m so incredibly lazy it fits me. This is so orgasmic. Wow, orgasmic was in its dictionary. Cool. I should go on the Internet. And see if I can log in to Blogger. I had to add the Word Blogger to its dictionary. I am totally getting hard. I love this voice-recognition stuff. I can’t make it go to the end of the document though. The command doesn’t work. Oh well. I can look in the help file. LOL, on Futurama last night there was this really funny part. Someone was all, “open up your empathy file, search your hard drive…” and Bender said in this ominous voice, “file not found.” I just thought that was so funny. I love Futurama.

Gosh this thing forces you to enunciate. And it won’t automatically put commas after introductory elements. So I sound like a cretin. At least I’m not typing. I’m so glad Mike is inept and doesn’t know about voice-recognition software. Sometimes I’m glad everybody’s dumb. That new reporter Susan is sure tenacious. I think I’m using that word correctly. She had two stories on her first day. I really need a voice-recognition headset. Holding this microphone is effort, too much effort to be the complete laziness experience that I crave. I hope Blogger loads so I can post this. I’m kinda bored. I talked to my mom tonight, she had a funny experience trying to get into this Korean karaoke bar. The guy was trying to tell her “get out of here Yankee,” but she just thought it was funny. It would’ve embarrassed me, had I been there. I want to have sex with this voice-recognition software. I don’t have to worry about spelling errors ever again. Only homonyms.

I had to train it to recognize the word homonyms. Well, when you first start any voice-recognition program it takes a while for it to recognize your individual pattern of speech. I used to use this program called “Kurzweil Voice Pad” in the late nineties, it was pretty cool but never reached the level of accuracy that I’m already at using this program. Almost 90% using Dragon. I might actually buy a license to this program. I wonder how much it is. I vaguely remember it being somewhere in the $100-$400 range. Wow, it formatted the $. That’s pretty damn cool. It even has damn in its dictionary. w00t. Man, its 9:14 p.m. I should see it Aqua Teen is on. I still hear the ranting of Charlie Rose, so I assume my dad still awake. It will be much more difficult to blog about how horrible a person he is via voice-recognition. Well, I guess it will be the same, except I will be in my room instead of in the living room. I must get a desk for this room. I simply cannot abide by these working conditions. Yeah, work. I hear my father going to bed. I believe this is my cue. I wonder if I can get Internet Explorer to launch via Voice.

Yay! 0

I will be able to leave soon! And the CR office doesn’t close until six! Yay!

Jocelyn arrived! 0

I’m eating the jalapeno-ey goodness that is my footlong roast beef sub with no mayonnaise and extra jalapenos. Glorious. Orgasmic. Joygasmic. Comlplete pure foodral bliss. Illustrator totally works in the photo room. It’s like my batcave. To the batcave! Nananananananana.
