“Paul’s Case” and cake
I’ve decided to write on “Paul’s Case.” I suddenly realize that I promised to bake a cake for the potluck tomorrow. I should get started on that.

I got my blue L.E.D. hard disk drive cooler today, it had been backordered for weeks. It’s not as lightey-uppey as I wanted, but it’s hidden by the chassis anyway so I guess it’s not important. I opened up the case and put my hand under it and it blows air really fast! So that’s cool, it will extend the life of my drive. I can’t wait to get paid! I’m going to go onto Tigerdirect.com right now and drool over computer crap that I will be able to buy tomorrow. My computer has been in color for about two weeks but I have to uninstall the video driver before I shut it down every time. It’s so weird. Curse the grayscaele!
Let’s see…things I want:
USB flash drive (around $50 for 512MB capacity)
New video card (around $160)
Dolby Digital 7.1 surround speakers (around $100)
MP3 Player
I’ve decided to get this cool thing, it’s a 512MB USB flash drive ($50)

with this little thing you snap onto it to make it into an MP3 player ($50)

Totally swank. I’m in love. I guess uninstalling the video card every time I restart isn’t such a hassle. It’s not enough of a hassle to merit spending $160 to fix it. So that’s what I’m going to order when I get paid. I’m beginning to realize that no matter how much technology I get I simply want more. Is that a bad thing? I think that I will be satisfied at least for the moment with the light-up keyboard, the headset, and the USB flash drive/MP3 player. I should get some rechargeable AAA batteries. Now is the time to work on my essay. I’m going to go get my book and diligently read until I find the story I’m going to write on. I have fulfilled my techlust until tomorrow when I shall make my purchase. Mouahahahaha.

I’m done. Yay. Now I get to start on my real work. And it’s 4:00. I’m totally going to be here forever. OMG when I was in the ad room Virginia started to talk to me about my being “critical” of Diane’s class, and I kind of basically told her that I really like Diane personally and I feel sorry for her, but let’s face it, she’s not qualified to take that class. Not at all. I know they forced it on her, but that’s not my fault. I signed up for the class thinking I would have a competent, knowledgeable teacher. I was severly disappointed. But anyway, I’m like…hungry again, which is weird becuase I already had Subway. I think that I’m really thirsty but my body can’t tell me. It’s the same signal. Oh man, I drank the last of the water in the Drift office. I totally need to go to Wal-Mart and get some more.
My mantra for today will be “put on your contenta faccia,” one of my great-grandmother’s proverbs which has been inordinately helpful over the years. It means “put on your happy face.” Today I’m going to put on my happy face like there’s no tomorrow. Mike is really ancy about getting the veterans stuff done today. I’m going to have to finish it today. I’m glad I don’t have to go to class. I’m going to get SO much money next paycheck from all these extra hours. Mike just attempted to show interest in my existence, he just made small talk about the Ashland trip. Lame. Man, this crazy woman just called up Susan and is ranting about this lawsuit…weird! Well, I really need to get to work on this crap.

I got ready a little bit early so I’m trying to burn a CD, that’s about it. There was some reason I started this post, but I really can’t remember now. Oh well. More later.
