Homosexual

I can’t seem to navigate to the edit posts tab so I’m just going have to do another one. Tawna was on tonight, but I still forgot to get Joe’s number. Samantha posted. I guess she couldn’t get ahold of any of us. I’m blogging this by voice recognition, by the way. Once I closed all of my other programs, and positioned the microphone adequately, it works perfectly. Well… kind of perfectly. Now I’m watching Run Lola Run. It’s a very good movie. I believe the playlist for Libertine Movie Night is as follows:

Cube
The Doom Generation
possibly Run Lola Run
Y Tu Mama Tambien
possibly Crash
Possibly La Femme Nikita

We’ll have to decide once we all get here. Joe was totally in favor of our idea. I imagined he would be. God, it’s almost 11:53 p.m. I’m tired. I want to go to sleep. I don’t want to write this essay. But I suppose if I’m writing it via voice recognition I’m not writing it at all. I really should choose which stories I’m going to compare/contrast. I was going to go with Edgar Allan Poe, because it seems the easiest thing to do. I feel like I’m just talking to myself. Which, in a way, I am. Well, I suppose some people read this. Where the crap is the Edgar Allen Poe section. I can’t seem to make it make question marks. That’s a strange design flaw. I suppose I should just look in the table of contents. That’s what a smart person would do. Aha, page 522. Interesting, Poe was in the military. God damn. It’s 12:03 p.m. I must go to sleep. I have decided to do my essay comparing and contrasting Poe’s “The Fall of the House of Usher” and “The Cask of Amontillado” because I’ve read them before. Let’s see… I should choose some topics. I believe that I’m going to focus most on setting, point of view, and plot. I wonder if it’s too much to talk about three in-depth. Well, at least I’ve decided what I’m going to write on. That’s half the work. *yawn* I’m going to sleep. I haven’t seen Samantha or Steve in days. Not since the trip. It’s very strange, I usually see them all the time. I’m sure we’ll see them the Drift meeting tomorrow. I hope Samantha and Tawna do Get The Drift before the meeting. Must go to sleep.

Crescent City blog

Uncategorized — A. @ 11:01 pm

I was crusing blogs today and realized what Crescent City needs is a website. A website with a forum where people can discuss current events, with a news blog, guides to all the stuff there is to do in Crescent City, a list of restaurants with reviews, and a bunch of cool stuff. All I need to do is buy a domain name so I can get started. Register.com says that www.crescentcity.ca isn’t taken. Everything except for crescentcity.ws and the other one is taken.

I don’t think that I could keep such a site running, though. I would have to work on it full time. Perhaps I should limit the scope of my coverage. Maybe I should have a CR News Blog…but that would kind of undermine the Drift. I don’t know. I need to make some sort of website for Crescent City. There needs to be an online voice for Del Norte County. Or at least Crescent City. I don’t know. All I know is that I should be writing my English essay.

I installed that program that uses your spare processor usage to discover how proteins fold. That’s pretty sweet.

I need to be writing that essay instead of watching Amelie for the millionth time.

Oh, it was really fun tonight. After Tawna got off work we decided to go get soup.

(awww….*tear* it’s the cute scene where they kiss…awwwwww)

By the time we actually decided to brave the rain and walk back to the car, it was about the time that Joe’s class got out so we invited him on our quest for soup and we went to Safeway. We all had the tomato basil soup. We kept making jokes about the vagina buffet/blanket (don’t ask). Aww…it’s the end scene…so cute…:( this movie makes me sad. Such a cute love story. But anyway, we had a lot of fun and went back to the college. I was like ten minutes late for history, and he let out early. I ate my soup in class, it was delicious except for the fact that it was all oily…this red oil would like coalesce on the outsides of the cup, it was weird. But anyways, after my class we hung out in the lounge for a while. I was going through my pocket and I found this ballot stub thing that said that they would have the election results at the Board of Supervisors chambers, so we all headed over to the Flynn Center. We hung out there until they closed up, it was really fun. We invented all these mythologies about the people counting the votes (we were SURE that this one lady was going to kill everyone). We didn’t even need stealth mode because the election people were totally on closed circuit TV. But anyway, we made fun of all the CNN news anchors and all the stuff. The preliminary results were that measures A (for the libarary) and B (for the community college) passed. It was pretty cool. I did see Mike and the Triplicate’s publisher though…that wasn’t so cool. But it was fun anyway, they totally have better chairs in there than in the lounge.

lame people

After me and Tawna had gone to the store to get food we hung out in the lounge for a while. I was actually enjoying hanging out with those dullards becuase one’s wit becomes razor sharp when one is surrounded by stupid people.

Me talking about how dumb this one person is: “Yeah, we have to call her up every month or so and remind her to take a bowel movement.”

That put Patricia in stitches.

I guess I shouldn’t be so judgmental, but still. Tawna and I were making each other laugh really bad with “vagina blanket” “vagina buffet” and “squishy place.” LOL I should tell about “squishy place,” but I don’t think I’ll reveal its eternal humor. I came up with it when we were watching the earthlings from the car yesterday. I think I’m going to lay down on the couch for a while. I really need to put some novels in my car tomorrow. And my accursed literature book. This rain totally sucks.

voyage

I went into the library to get my history test back before class, I got an A-. Not bad. At least I know I’ll pass one class. I haven’t been working much at all at the Triplicate lately. I’m kind of glad that I’m back to a maintenance level of normal work so I can redouble my efforts to do schoolwork. I saw Joe in the lounge on my trip to the library, he was wearing this bright blue shirt, it was strange. He never wears bright colors. I said hello. I wasn’t really in the mood to socialize though. I’m in my mood where I just want to sit in the Drift office and either work on the issue, blog, lay on the couch and contemplate, read, or surf the Net. This office is totally my batcave. Everyone that’s cool needs a batcave. LOL there was this imbecile in the student lounge today plastered all over with Bush/Cheney stickers talking about how bad abstinence-only education is. Bush is for abstinence only education. What a sheep. I freaking swear. I’m going to the bathroom. I went earlier, but there were people in there and I can never go to the bathroom when there are other people in the room. I mean…that’s such a private thing…one can’t do it in a room full of COMPLETE STRANGERS! But I digress.

rainy day

I’m in the Drift office and it’s raining. I voted before I went to work, I wonder who will win. The only propositions that confused me were the ones about tribal casinos…I voted no on those because I really wasn’t sure about them. Work was okay…there was like nobody there because they were going to have to be there until like midnight covering the election. I’m reading blogs about the election, this one is pretty cool:

Tawna and I went to Safeway and got some lunch, I got a turkey wrap and she got a sandwich and we drank some Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider. I love that crap! Anyway, I discussed my idea for purifying the social scene and she thought it was totally cool too. Well, I suppose I should spill the beans. My idea is for us to all get together for Libertine Movie Night where we watch nothing but unrated/R movies and drink/smoke whenever we feel like it. I think it will be totally fun. We haven’t discussed it with Joe yet, Tawna said he has a class tonight, maybe she’ll mention it. Well, my class doesn’t start until six fifty-something and Tawna gets off work at 5:30, so I’m sure we will get to discuss such things. I didn’t bring my book with me today because I thought “Of course I won’t have time to work on my essay.” And I totally do. Oh well. I’m surfing the Net. It’s fun. Next time I’m at work I need to open one of the page templates and jot down the edges and margins so I can set up the templates for the next issue of the Drift. I sent myself an e-mail at work, I’ll do it tomorrow.

How cool, I was reading the Google Blog and I just downloaded this cool distributed computing thing to help cure diseases. Sweet. It uses the processor when there is no one using the computer to study how organic molecules interact. Interesting.
