Doom III 1

This is the second time I’ve downloaded the 1.7GB Doom III. And I feel like it won’t be the last. Okay, there are three folders. CD1, CD2, and CD3. Each folder has an SFV file, but in each folder there are about thirty files called “rld-d3b” (THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME NAME). It is impossible, they can’t have the same name. But they do. And then there are more files called rld-d3a.r31 and so on until .r35. It’s insane. I think I’m going to have to download another torrent. Lame. Uberlame.

Diablo II 0

Darn my carpal tunnel. My wrist hurts, I can’t play any more. Lame. I even dragged out my Diablo II Strategy Guide. Oh well. I don’t know what to do now.

ebay 0

My dad had been bugging me (for like a year) to sell this cieling fan he’s got on eBay for ever, and I finally did it today since now I have an eBay account. He wants like $500 for this fan…I dunno. We’ll see if anybody wants it.

the fan

I’ve been playing Diablo II for a long time today, Sarus is just getting level up after level up, and I’ve kind of decided where I’m going with the character. I’m going to mainly focus on bone mages and golems for my summoning spells, and bone spear and poison nova for my poison and bone spells. I should go play now.

you’re just another pretty face in a room full of whores….no, you don’t mean much 0

> Orgy – Dizzy [very good song]
> The Cure – Pictures of You
> Marilyn Manson – This Is The New Shit
> Deftones – Change (In The House Of Flies)
> Letters to Cleo – Dreams

Lol, “Don’t let those people stay here past two–go somewhere else.” I knew my dad was going to say something about last night. Well, I wouldn’t exactly call it fun, but we camped out in my barn last night, listening to records and drinking vodka and Mike’s Hard Cranberry. Joe got SOOOO trashed, he puked all over Tawna’s leg. We had to take him inside and clean him up, he was so totally out of it. I’m kind of weirded out if that’s his idea of fun. Well, it was fun until he started puking. I didn’t drink much because I had work the next day. Tawna and I were mostly just buzzed, but Joe was totally in incoherent mode. We were all climbing around my barn, we had blacklights and christmas lights up and the record player going and we played “Never have I ever.” I guess it was kind of a mistake to play that game…you’re supposed to discover disturbing things about each other, but Tawna and Joe are virgins, so it was kind of pointless. We made popcorn…lots of popcorn. I’m actually still munching on the big bowl of it that we made. The backseat of my car is filled with records from when we cleaned out the barn and threw everything in my trunk.

I guess it was better than staying up until 2 a.m. playing Diablo II. Well, the next morning Joe puked again and it was around 6 a.m. (he first puked at 2 a.m.) and we were SOOO cold so we piled in my car and blasted the heat. We drove to the beach and waited for the sun to rise. It didn’t happen (it was cloudy), so we drove to the end of my road and back. My dad was still home, unfortunately. We went into my room and slept on my bed for a while, then we woke up and like, got ready to go and everything. I dropped everyone off at their houses then went to work. I had some yummy Earl Grey so that helped get me into work mode. My surround sound system should get here Wednesday! Woot!

I don’t know what to think of last night. Joe kept trying to grope Tawna…it was really weird. Hm. I’ll have to ponder this further. I’m making a CD with “Dizzy” and a few other cool songs on it. I think I’m done with electronica. I move back and forth in 6-month patterns between hard rock (Deftones, Orgy, Manson, NIN) and electronica (what I’ve been listening to lately).

Oh! Today I realized that the cable Internet bill hadn’t shown up and the month was almost over, so I logged on to Charter.net and like the payment was due yesterday, so I paid it. My balance is -$16, but I had my dad pay his half ($20), so I can go and deposit it tomorrow and avoid being charged a fee. I hope they’re open tomorrow, what with it being Thanksgiving weekend. I’ve been playing Sarus, my necromancer, a lot lately. I’ve never been able to make a successful necromancer character, they are so physically frail and one has to devote lots of skill points early on to skills that aren’t useful later on in the game. I hope to break the mold with Sarus. I played Diablo II online for a while, but it was so lame…everybody was cheating. I want to do it at like 1 a.m., then you meet the really cool people. I was playing as Alianora, my sorceress (cuz she has the coolest spells), but it was kind of weird not being the same gender as my character, so next time I think I’ll play as my necromancer or my paladin. I wouldn’t be my barbarian. It’s so not my style. But I should get ready for bed, play Diablo II a bit more, and go to sleep.

Sorta Hot 0

Mike is talking to Sorta Hot Guy From The Ad Room, from this distance he’s hot. But if I got closer, the illusion would just go away. Matt M. and Katherine are kind of flirting, it’s cute. Must type these letters and get out of here.

work 0

Last night was…interesting. I’ll blog about it in detail later. I started this post to say that I just don’t think that Matt M. is going to last. He just seems one step behind the game. I just don’t know. But what I do know is that I get paid Tuesday! Woot! I’m going to buy an alarm clock CD player thing. And that same day (probably) I will get my surround sound system! I’m really looking forward to Tuesday. I will watch The Matrix in surround sound wonder! I finished almost all my tasks at work already, I just have to type up a few letters, but I know that it won’t take me until 2:30, which is when I have to stay until. I have to work at least two hours every day, so about one day a month or so I just don’t have enough to do. But it’s California law, the 2 hours thing, so I have to find something to do. I should type these letters. Just helped Katherine, she was having some problems with the digital camera. They have such cheap equipment here, I swear. But yeah. Type the letters.

the most fun night ever! 0

Last night was SOOOO fun. After work I went to the college and was so tired that I napped in the Drift office for a few hours. Me and Tawna were waiting for Joe to get off of work. I woke up, and walked towards the student lounge. Samantha and Tawna were having a talk. Tracy was looking up the college, so we decided to go to Pizza Hut to look for Joe. We found out that he wasn’t there and wasn’t even supposed to work that night. So we went to Samantha and Steve’s house to call him. He said he’d gotten his days mixed up, and that he was really supposed work on Friday. He came over. I intercepted him outside, and said that I didn’t want to spend the night losing board games to Samantha to massage her ego. We couldn’t really figure any way out of the situation, so we let Tawna talk us into playing one game of Uno with them. I felt like I was marching into the guillotine when we entered the room, but it really wasn’t so bad. Samantha and Steve laced the air with sarcastic remarks, and I just kinda sat there and watched. Joe won the game. I kind of expected Samantha to have some kind of episode, but she didn’t. Tawna was the last one with cards, and once the game was over we decided to go “home.”

Samantha is smart–she knew that we were just going to go to my house and watch movies, so she made a few sarcastic comments to that effect. I’m sorry, but board games bore me to death. I like movies. Movies that challenge you to think. Movies that make you see things you’ve never seen before. Movies that you can have disturbing inside jokes about. I think that Samantha called Tawna’s house. Probably. Well anyway, we all drove to Joe’s house so he could drop off his car, and then we all got into my car and we drove to my house. We of course had some pecan tart, and I was very hungry so I made some rice. I had mine with cheddar cheese and Grey Poupon mustard, Joe had his with cheddar cheese and ketchup. We both tried each, and each were strangely delicious. I also made some Earl Grey tea for everyone. Actually, Joe had some Ceylon tea and me and Tawna had Earl Grey. While we ate, we watched fútbol. Fútbol is the shiznite. We made some popcorn with my air popper from the 80s, and then we went into my room and started watching Cube. I don’t know, but I really wasn’t in the mood for it, so I suggested that we watch Amélie. Everybody loved Amélie. I thought that Joe would think that it was a chick flick, but it’s just too funny and quirky and weird to be a chick flick. After the movie was over, Joe searched eBay for mopeds while me and Tawna reminisced while looking at the high school yearbook. Tawna was in ecstasy about the pink light up flamingos that Lisa got me for my birthday. She would just stare at them, laugh, and say “flamingos!” It was pretty funny. Correction: very funny.

We did this for a while, but eventually we started watching Crash. Towards the beginning of it, Joe wanted to go outside and smoke, so we did. I tried to climb the rope and failed miserably. We played around on the remains of the trapeze in my front yard, and eventually I suggested that we go over to “the table,” he board hanging from ropes that you can swing on like a magic carpet. Me and Joe were swinging on it until one of the ropes broke. That was pretty funny.

Then we ventured to the barn and looked around the loft, which to my surprise had only two bales of hay in it. Joe and I decided to go check out the creek, but it started to rain, so we went inside. We watched the rest of Crash. It’s such a disturbing movie, but I love it all the same. It was about 4:30 in the morning by this time, so I reminded Joe to take a bit of the tart home (his parents didn’t believe that he had baked a tart the day before). Then we all got into the car and drove back to town to drop everybody off. It was around 5:00 in the morning then. Joe had set up the torrent for Doom III while he was here, and it only has about two hours to go! Woot. I should go to the kitchen and be sociable, I slept until 3:30 in the afternoon. Oh it was so fun! I smell yummy turkey cooking. It won’t be long before there’s some foodral action. Oh yeah.

Charolastras! Fire! Uber-fun! 2

Tonight was the SHIZNITE. Even though I missed my history class, I can just watch it (it’s a distance learning class) and take the test in the library tomorrow. But yeah, at six me and Tawna went down to this house that was going to have a controlled burn (I heard about it at work) and we were all “I hope Joe gets here in time” (Joe’s class got out at 6:30) and like it eventually caught on fire enough that we saw Joe (he was in a different spot) and like, we totally saw the house burn down and it was so pretty and cool.

After that we went back to the college. I was supposed to take my test, but he was lecturing before the test (I hate when he does that) so we went in the Drift office and Tawna attempted to call Samantha, but it didn’t work. She was supposed to meet Sammie at the gym at 8:00. It was like 7:45, so we just drove over. Sammie was there, and I guess Tawna told her that she wouldn’t be able to work out with her today. While me and Joe waited in the car, I made fun of the (gay) guys weighing themselves. After that was over with, we drove out to my house. After a little random watching of my video diary (the part with Peng checking himself out) and playing around with my video card (I got Diablo II to work in 3D mode for some reason), playing Glenn Miller records to the Matrix (incredibly funny for some reason), we went into the kitchen and started on the pecan tart. OMG it was SO hard to make but after a few hours we FINALLY got to the part where you cook it. For some reason I felt like making a fire in the fireplace, so me and Tawna went out and got wood and we got those stupid Quarterly Beacon things I swiped ages ago and me and Joe just went to town with some strike anywhere matches, producing this:

It was a sweet fire, and it was really pretty. We fed it as we made the tart. Here’s Joe stirring the filling (which came out excellent):

After that was done, we put the filling in the pan and baked it while we hung out in front of the fire.

It was done and like we tasted it and it was ORGASMIC…so tart, and sweet..and omg it makes me happy just thinking about it. It was such a hard recipe too, LOL we kept imagining ways that Sue would screw it up, like trying to carmelize Splenda instead of real sugar. Eww! Joe commented that it would break down into chlorine (totally true), which was disturbing. Oh it was the most yummiest pecan tart ever!

But yeah, we went outside for a bit for Joe to have a cigarette and then we went inside and started watching Y tu mamá también, the best movie ever! Joe totally digged it. I love that movie! I’m going to start calling him Tenoch just for the fun of it. But yeah, it’s a road trip movie and it’s so cool and we loved it and wanted to go on a road trip so bad! It was around three, so we all piled into the car and drove back into town. I took the highway so we could pretend we were on a road trip. We dropped Tawna off at her house, then I dropped Joe off at his car. After work I’m going to drive home and he’s going to call me. We’re all going to do something tomorrow because we can sleep in. We might even have some sort of crazy pre-Thanksgiving movie marathon slumber party. That would be SO COOL. But tonight was so fun! OMG!

I probably won’t make it to my class in the morning, but we’re just working on our research papers. I can’t deal with three hours of sleep. Oh, I was supposed to hang out with Charley tonight (I was supposed to call him at 9 p.m. and I called at 11:30 and he was totally asleep! Lame!) But I was calling to cancel anyway so it didn’t matter. Omg when we had the fire going in the fireplace, one of the logs rolled out onto the hearth, and like the freaking smoke alarm went off! This was at like 12:30 a.m.! Omg, we had to open every window in the living room to try to get that damn thing to turn off. My dad is totally probably going to say something about it tomorrow, but I don’t care because I washed all my dishes from the baking extravaganza and cleaned up the kitchen. I could sacrifice virgins in the kitchen and he would be fine with it as long as I did all the dishes afterwards. But yeah, I must get to sleep because I stayed up WAY too late. Charolastras!

$12.11 0

> Deftones – Change (In the House of Flies)

I just checked my online banking, and it says I have $12.11 in my bank account. Lame! I rearranged my room a bit last night, I put my record player on my dresser and took my stereo down. I really want to get rid of it, but I need it for its alarm function. I can’t wait until December, becuase I totally get my speakers! But like, I also won’t have any money until December. I’m glad that I have a full tank of gas. I can’t buy anything now.

But yeah, omg like after work I went to the college and me and Tawna and Joe went to the beach and we went on a new big rock. It was totally cool, but also covered in bird crap. But yeah, we went back and sat on the rock that Tawna was on, the one closest to the stairs, and talked for a while. We made fun of people that walked by. It was fun. We then went back to the car and dropped Tawna off at the college (she had to go to work) and me and Joe went to Safeway to get ingredients for some of those chocolate recipes. He liked this pecan thing and I wanted the tart, so we got ingredients for both. I think we’ll bake it Thanksgiving night, or maybe tonight..who knows? I was supposed to hang out with Charley tonight, but hey…it’s chocolate. Chocolate, honey! Chocolate. But anyway, I’ll make the crème fraîche tonight and let it do its thing. I’m playing games on Yahoo Games. And I’m listening to LaunchCast. I have to waste one hour. Boring!

woot! woot! woot! 0

I got Diablo II to work, and then I moved my computer around so the tower could be close enough to hook up the video card to my TV. I need to get a long RCA cable so that I can move my tower and TV back to their original spots, but like…I fooled around with the multimonitor settings for EVER but I finally realized that I was making this dumb mistake and fixed it and now I’m totally like…watching The Matrix on my TV (from my computer)! and IMing Charley. He’s masturbating for my amusement. Yay! Uber-entertainment. I LOVE ENTERTAINMENT!! And OMG my surround sound system will arrive December 1! I’m so happy, I love my birthday. I love technology. Yay.
