archiving
I just finished archiving, Sports Aaron didn’t put his page A6 into the “Newsroom Live Pages” folder today, he will get chastized for that. It entertains me when that happens. I thought that Sports Aaron would have gotten fired by now, but he’s just been here so long that there’s no getting rid of him, I think. Steve Chittock is here screwing around with the computers, it bores me that he’s here. I arrived around 11:40 (I had been at home screwing around with my surround sound system) and it’s only 12:35 and I want to leave. I want to go home and play with my speakers. I still can’t get them to work. The problem is when I plug them into my surround sound card, no sound comes out. There is no audio signal going to the card, and I don’t know why. I reinstalled the drivers, I screwed around with the settings…there’s just no way to make the front and back speakers work without the card working. So I used an audio splitter to connect the stereo output of my normal sound card to the speakers, and I got the front speakers and subwoofer to work (which was totally sweet, music sounds A-FREAKIN-MAZING coming out of it. If only I could get all seven to work. I think that I’m going to have to buy that stupid $100 Creative surround sound card in order to get it to work. I am really sick of my motherboard. I am NEVER buying another Chaintech product. They SUCK. Their website has a million broken links and it takes two million hours to make anything motherboard-related work (the SATA controller, for example, which took about two weeks) and of course the surround sound card, which I’m just preparing to battle. I really want to get a new motherboard, but like…my current system works fine, and I don’t want to spend another $200 for something that might be even crappier and harder to make work. I think I’m going to get an Asus motherboard when I build my next computer. I’ll do more research. I know what I want now…basically I just know that I don’t want another Chaintech motherboard. Darn, I don’t have enough to do. I just have to do letters, put a few things into the calendar, and I’m totally out of here. But I have to work for 2 hours a day by California law. So here I am blogging.
I’m going to go to the college after work, see who’s there, and probably head to my house. I wonder if Maggie would go to my house to study our lines. That would be funny, I barely even know her. And my bathroom is far from clean. Oh yeah, I meant to go to Wal-Mart and get some big trash bags so I could sort out all the trash that’s been collecting over the years (yes literally, years…my dad is too cheap to go to the dump). Also, I don’t mean trash like dead babies and apple cores, just like boxes and broken coat hangers and random stuff like that. I really don’t want to be at work today (as evidenced by the fact that I’m blogging). Oh yeah, I promised to do layout with Molly today. Oh well. I have so much to do. My final project in Drama definitely takes precedence over layout. But you never know, I might find time for both. It depends on how fast we learn our lines. We have a whole weekend. Okay, I must get back to work. I’m going to do a shoddy job and do as little as possible, but to do a shoddy job once a month is much better than doing a shoddy job every day. I think that for the most part I’m a good worker. Back to work.
