this is great…lol, it’s movie crossovers
My favorites are:
The Odd Couple, starring C-3PO and the Terminator.
Dirty Harry meets Jennifer Lopez in Maid in Manhattan 2. Hear Dirty Harry deliver the ultimate line: “Go ahead, make my bed.”
A leader emerges in the fight for genetic mutants rights in Malcolm X-Men.
I got my new issue of Mother Jones a few days ago but didn’t get to read any of the articles until today, so I’m devouring them with gusto. I love this quote:
“When fundamentals go unquestioned and dissenters are intimidated, those who prevail get lazier and dumber.”
Oh, I love this one too from another article:
“[A] truly progressive agenda has to consist of something more radical than reminding the minimum-wage custodian to sort the recyclables when he takes out the trash or the Latina housemaid to dust Che’s portrait when she does the den.”
I LOVE that magazine, it’s such a fresh perspective. I am toying around with the idea of subscribing to the New Yorker. Am I that pretentious? Only time will tell. (LOL, btw, that last line was an inside joke from Angela’s “short story.”)
I need to write my story but I’m avoiding it (as usual). Instead I’m checking out solar power for laptops. If I lived in Southern California, it might be worth it. I could spend $600 on two of these solar panel systems and just sit around eternally in the sunshine surfing the Net and working on my papers. That would be cool. But it’s never sunny here, I’d have to get like five of them. And where would I use my laptop in Crescent City except for my front yard? That thing wouldn’t leave my house. Oh, I saw the tech guy for my work’s iBook and it had this incredibly unattractive keyboard! But it’s probably incredibly old. I’m going check apple.com just to be sure. Okay, it’s totally a cool keyboard. The display is totally thinner than his too. Woot.
Oh cool! Mac OS X Tiger (current version is Panther) will come out in the first half of 2005! Yay. I can’t wait to give it a test drive. I get about $140 back from my taxes, that should be cool. I still have to pay Josh back for a bunch of stuff that I bought on credit from him, I should do that tonight when we hang out. I’m going to go put my taxes in the mail.
Whoo, that was freaking cold! I need to work on my damn story. I had the most exquisite short film fantasy while listening to Ladytron’s Black Plastic, it was very artsy and cool. Story. Must write story. I’ll start writing in my fiction blog, that always helps.
