life
My computer is alive again. The sheer luck of having my new drive at this time amazes me. I was able to install Windows on the new drive, leaving all of my emails, chat logs, and settings intact on the old drive. And I found out that the Norton Ghost backups I made a few days ago had almost none of the files I needed. So screw Norton.
I took a long nap after I got home from work. Riding twenty miles a day really takes it out of you. I’m amazed..in almost a week, muscles are bursting out of every part my body. I feel like that guy from Akira. It’s making me feel strange, like this isn’t my body any more or something. But I guess I’ll get used to it.
I’m installing Service Pack 2 right now so I don’t get a million viruses, but after that I’m totally going to answer all my MySpace messages, emails, and blog to my heart’s content. I’m actually really glad that this happened. The fresh install of XP runs SO fast. And I had all my Trillian settings, email and Firefox settings/bookmarks migrated in like five minutes. That was very sweet. I’m supposed to get my sexy audio card sometime this weekend. I can’t wait to play with it.
I was so depressed/tired after I got home. My computer wouldn’t boot and XP wouldn’t install…I just laid in bed for hours. Right when I would be about to fall asleep, the neighbor would shoot one of his guns again. It was infuriating. I’m glad it’s over. I was alone without my computer.
