Royce

I was supposed to hang out with Royce after my DDR, but he canceled on me. Whatever.

I kicked serious ass at DDR, although my feet really hurt now. My memory upgrade won’t arrive until Monday, so I’m sort of bummed about that. I was counting on it showing up Saturday. I should put a countdown to when I leave on my site. That would be a nice diversion.

Nah, I’m officially bored.

Two weeks left.

Whoa.

You know you’re a DDR addict when you consider wearing briefs instead of boxer briefs because you think you might be able to dance a bit faster.

I really want to go and dance, but I’m having so much fun dancing to Madonna.

She is my god.

Contemplation and burritos

> Tosca - Me and Yoko Ono

Today has been odd.

At work there was a bunch of stuff to do, but it was all letters-related, so it was no big deal. The queue of unpublished letters has now hit the forty mark. Right now we could basically fill the whole paper with letters and it would barely be enough room for them all. I feel like it’s a waste of time for me to type the new ones, but I don’t mind. I always knew I was Sisyphus.

After work I went over to the cinemas and played a few dollars worth of Dance Dance Revolution. I am very good, I can do most (possibly all) of the 6-foot difficulty leve songsl, and some of the 7-foot ones. It was a success though because I discovered this cool J-rock song…I can’t remember what it’s called but the song is VERY difficult but I can totally get through it. In that game it’s wonderful when you can find a song that you like that’s right on the cusp of your ability level, and then learn to totally rock at it. However, I think I blew out my back trying to get all those arrows.

I went home and made some burritos, then spent the rest of the day lying around reading. I’m close to the end of A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genious. I don’t know what to think of it yet…maybe it’ll have a tour de force ending.

The whole day I’ve been listening to this ambient album Delhi9 by Tosca. There’s this cute song called “Me and Yoko Ono” that is just so catchy! It’s good reading/chillout music, as the lyrics are minimal and the beats are mellow, yet still interesting.

I think my dad left to go on his big camping trip to the Marble Mountains. I wish I could have some sort of wild party, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. The closest thing to a party here is already happening…I’m playing music on my surround sound system.

Hm. I’d better get back to my reading. I bought The Dilbert Principle (Joe recommended it last night) on eBay for like 5 bucks and I want to have this novel done by the time it arrives.

Tomorrow I get to sub at the plant, which won’t be so bad. Oh! I found out that I get paid for my week of vacation that I didn’t take. SWEET! I’m totally getting an iMac. Or a MacBook…I’m undecided. Eh, I need an iMac. I just can’t deal with the lack of hard drive space in laptops. I’ll get a cheap iBook G3 or something if I need a portable computer.
