back at Kevin’s apartment/recording studio in Oakland. My Vespa is in the trunk of his van outside. Well, I managed to get this far in the trip without dying…I have high hopes for tonight. The hope is that I will be in home sweet Sacramento bythe end of the night. It is probably a futile hope.
However, I rode all around Haight and the Castro at night alone on my Vespa. It was SO damn cool…the city lights stretching to infinity with the Golden Gate all lit up…I love this city, but I don’t know if I would want to live here.

10 minutes before checkout time in a sleazy motel with five other people in it.
I need to get back home.

I’m in San Francisco this weekend with Kevin. He wants me and even though I’m not attracted to him, I don’t want to disappoint him. We didn’t really do anything, but I need a class on learning to say no.

My site has been moved to the new server, so it should be smooth sailing (hopefully).
I’m at this guy’s house who’s taking photos of Rosemary, on his swank 15″ MacBook Pro.
It’s 1:30 and I have to work tomorrow. Meh, rock and roll.
I’ve been cruising websites looking for ultra-mobile PCs. I sort of want a MacBook, but I couldn’t bring myself to hook it up to all my shit at home and then unhook it every time I had to leave. I need a dedicated mobile computer.
I love the Fujitsu LifeBook P Series computers…they have a compact 10-inch screen and a comfortable-looking keyboard, all in a package I can fit inside my scooter’s trunk.
I dunno, I just hate being away from my computer. There were some affordable ($300-ish) LifeBooks, but I’m just so wary of buying things on eBay…I always think they’re going to fall apart a second after I get them.
This guy Josh that I’ve been talking to online (the guy from Arizona…did I mention him?) is supposed to be coming to Sacramento like, this week. I’m so excited! Well…he’s extremely hot, but besides that, we’re supposed to go do Second Saturday and show all those art fags (especially Andrew) that I can attract a hot guy to go with.
It’s not just that Josh is hot…he complimented my taste in novels and has some interesting (albeit a bit trite) things to say about society. The possibility that he is bat-shit crazy makes me hesitant, though. Although he hasn’t given me any reason to think he’s insane, that is the reason he’s being discharged from the military.
I dunno, I’m just hella weirded out by the thought of people from the Internet suddenly becoming real. I’m going to be in such a weird world when Patrick steps off the plane in less than a month.
Oh yeah…it’s March. When the fuck did that happen? I have no money…again. Blew through my tax returns and such. It’s not so bad…I just have to not eat out much until I get paid next week, and I’ll be fine. Story of my life, right?
During the database migration, some of the comments disappeared…I’m going to ask the tech guy to see if I can get a copy of the old front page. Eh, I’ll probably be too lazy. I just wanted to mention that because I don’t want people to think I’m deleting their comments. I also lost a post or two and this nifty RSS bar a I put at the bottom of the pages. C’est la vie.
Oh my god! Kathleen, my aunt and surrogate mother, was taken to a rehab place yesterday…they said she would have died if they hadn’t gotten to see her. My grandma told me about it this morning, she was the one that took her there. Kathy’s been on hardcore pain meds for SO long that the detox is taking a long time. We’re not supposed to try to contact her for a whole week.
Last night was hella weird…I signed off relatively early for me (like midnight) and right as I was going to sleep Mark texted me and wanted me to come over. Well, it was rather hot. Actually, very hot. I slept in at his place until like ten, when I had to leave to get back to my house and to American River for my classes. I was like one minute late for my first one, which I thought was an amazing achievement.
Birds. I fucking hate birds. While I was walking around downtown on Wednesday, a bird shat on me. I thanked the gods there was nobody around, but it was SO gross. And of course, this morning, I guess I parked under a tree because my Vespa was COVERED in bird shit. I had to scratch it all off with a wet paper towel after class this afternoon. But I’m sort of glad I did because I washed the whole thing and it looks all shiny!
I dunno, Mark is weird. We’ve had like, a few hot rendezvouses…but we’re not really…like, involved romantically. At least I don’t think. It’s very low-key…and he’s attractive, but I don’t feel like he’s relationship material. We did hang out for a while one time watching YouTube vids and listening to europop, but that’s about it. I’m not needing a relationship right now. Well, not a relationship with someone like him. I mean, I can feel a sort of affinity for him borne out of mutual interests and libido, but as to calling him and just bullshitting for a few hours…I don’t think so.
Oh cool, the photo shoot is over. Must go.
