Or they have tied you up. I have just consumed (in two days) the first season of "Dexter" which is deliciously dark and disturbing. I am giving a fiction reading on Thursday where I am going to say "motherfucker" in front of my colleagues and get away with it. Not necessarily the most high caliber writing, but it was excellent to be reintroduced to characters I felt like I knew since my youth. He has other books, I have been told, but I am afraid to read them as yet, because this one made me so secretly filled with inner subversion that not that feeling having it repeated would be disappointing. Soulmates! On "Eat me, Drink Me": You know, I didn't much like it at first either. But after I saw him perform some of the songs live, it kinda grew on me. Like CANCER. Thats why Frank wanted to go see him live this year, rather than putting it off. To quote him: "Have you *heard* his latest album? He's in a decline.
