birthday festivities

I’m sitting on Chris’s couch…there’s no wi-fi here (all the access points are encrypted and I’m not quite feeling at home enough to go find an ethernet cable).

The Honeycut concert was pretty awesome. I staked out a spot right in front of the lead singer…which turned out to be kind of a bad idea, since for the whole show I only had a good view of the singer’s crotch.

It was odd…he did shitty renditions of the songs I liked the best and great renditions of the songs I thought were ok.

After the concert, Aaron and Zero met Chris and we hung out for a bit before they went home. Chris just went to the store, so I just washed my face and changed clothes. I only realized now that I don’t have a present for him even though it’s his birthday…but anything I’d get him would have to be from the Interwebs anyway…damn my lack of foresight.

We hung out and talked about politics until like 3 a.m….which would have been fine normally, but I’d gotten up at 8 a.m. for work and was hellza tired. It’s 11 a.m. now…I never get up this early. Well, I’d probably have gone back to sleep were I not at a friend’s house I haven’t stayed over at before.

He’s at the market right now…the party should be superfun, even though I don’t know any of his other friends, it’s fucking Chuckie Cheeze.

Yesterday, before we left for the concert, Aaron and I ran into Mari at True Love. She told me this hilarious story about how when she was like seven her cat got skin cancer and had to get like half of its face removed. After that, it couldn’t quite eat, so her mother would sit it in a high chair and hand-feed it.

I am sooo fucking poor this week, but I have a huge paycheck coming on Friday. I’m going to be working 9-5 every weekday until I leave, so I should have a ton of spending money. Unfortunately, this first check is probably going entirely to bills. But one of these days, it will go to toys. The BlackBerry Bold for one and a gigantic flat panel monitor for two.

It’s so anti-climactic to be on a computer without the Internet…I keep opening Firefox, “page not found” keep writing, open Firefox, “page not found”…lame.

I can’t wait to watch The Devil’s Rejects with Sam and the crew, according to Netflix it’s at my house right now.

Man, I’m bored. I think I’m going to put on my shoes and watch Serial Mom until Chris gets back.
