Thanks for the teaching compliment. I get to teach creative writing every semester now and it's my lifeline. Next semester I get to teach ADVANCED creative writing of fiction, a class I designed myself, and it's going to be fantastic. Did I mention an agent is looking at my novel? Yes, the one you never finished. I'm not surprised it wasn't fascinating enough for you when I read what's holding your attention these days. BTW, your idea for a story about putting Grammie in the home is a great one, and don't hesitate to make that hatred and that pity war with each other. It's the honest complexity of our feelings toward people that the truly great writers capture. And I hate your writing teacher. Screw her. Send me your story and I will critique!
